Travel

The AAH 2020 will be held on campus at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. The official hotel for the conference is The Graduate, Iowa City, which is along the pedestrian mall and just three blocks from the conference venue. It is a close walk to dozens of restaurants, bars, museums, coffee shops, and the campus itself.

Air Travel

Please plan on flying into CID (Cedar Rapids-Eastern Iowa airport), which is our closest airport. It takes 30 minutes to drive south from CID to Iowa City, so if you do not have a car, you may either want to take the airport shuttle or arrange a rental car.

Travel by Automobile and Bus

We do not have a train station in Iowa City, but the city has an abundance of cheap parking both at the conference hotel and at various parking decks across the city. There is a MegaBus to Iowa City that sits on the route between Chicago, Illinois and Lincoln, Nebraska. We are located 3.5 hours west of Chicago, 4 hours south of Minneapolis, and about 2 hours east of Des Moines. We are a UNESCO City of Literature and a distinctly Midwestern college town.
